The managing director of the Rowlands chain of pharmacies has stepped down after 20 years with the business, it has emerged.

Kenny Black has now left the business 'after 20 years of loyal and committed service in order to pursue new career opportunities', the company announced today (3 June).

Steve Anderson, the group managing director of Rowlands' parent company PHOENIX’s UK, said: 'We are sorry that Kenny is leaving the business and we are immensely grateful for what he has achieved during his time with us. We thank him for that and all of us wish him every success in the future.

'We will appoint a new Rowlands’ Managing Director shortly.'
