Two pharmacy workers are among three people who have been charged in connection to the theft and supply of prescription-only drugs, police have said.
Avon and Somerset Police said that Stuart Eales, 54, and Louise Larby, 41, both formerly from Yeovil, and Alastair Caines, 40 from Yeovil, have been charged with conspiracy to supply controlled drugs including zopiclone, dihydrocodeine, diazepam, pregabalin and tramadol.

They are also charged with conspiracy to supply/sell the prescription-only medicine Oramorph not in accordance with a prescription, the force added.
The drugs are a mix of prescription painkillers, sleeping pills and anxiety reducing medication.
The three are due to appear at Yeovil Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 31 March.

Eales and Larby also face a charge of theft of controlled drugs between May 2022 and March 2024 while working at a pharmacy.
Avon and Somerset Police said that the charges follow a two-year investigation which began when a pharmacy reported discrepancies in its stock.

A fourth person previously arrested in connection with the investigation has been released without charge, the force added.
Police said that selling or sharing prescription-only medication is a criminal offence, while taking a drug without the proper medical assessment carries a significant risk of an adverse reaction.
