A new app assists resident in the London borough of Islington locate their local pharmacist for expert advice on common conditions.

The app is able to locate the nearest pharmacist, GP practice, health centre or hospital.

Patients have been urged to use the “Choose Well North London” app to access the correct NHS service for their health needs.

Chair of the NHS Islington Clinical Commissioning Group, Dr Gillian Greenhough, urged patients to visit a pharmacist for “expert advice on common conditions such as allergies, skin conditions and emergency contraception” or a GP if they “have an illness or injury that won’t go away but isn’t an emergency”

The app can be downloaded from the App Store and Google Play.
