Community pharmacies have until the end of the week to share their experiences of providing the childhood flu vaccination service.

NHS England is doing an evaluation of the advanced service, which commissioned community pharmacies to provide flu vaccines to two- and three-year-olds during the 2025/26 vaccination campaign.

The service was part of a one-season trial, and community pharmacies have been asked to share their experiences of it to inform decisions about any future service, Community Pharmacy England (CPE) said.

To participate, pharmacy owners and their teams are encouraged to complete an online questionnaire before Friday 17 April.

Findings from the survey will be reported in aggregate and individual pharmacies will not be named, NHS England said.

Anil Sharma, chair of Community Pharmacy Cambridgeshire and Peterborough and owner of a small group of pharmacies, has previously told CPE that the advanced service was another opportunity for community pharmacy to demonstrate that the sector can improve vaccination levels.

He said: ‘Pharmacy is the ideal place for patients to be vaccinated due to our accessibility and workforce.
