General Practice Awards 2026 now open for entries

Nominations are now open for the General Practice Awards 2026, with pharmacists, pharmacy teams and supplier organisations among those invited to enter.

The awards – organised by The Pharmacist’s publisher Cogora – celebrate achievement across general practice and primary care, including categories recognising the growing contribution of pharmacy professionals to patient care, medicines optimisation and service delivery.

Last year’s Pharmacist/Pharmacy Team of the Year went to the South Sefton PCN Medicines Management Team, whose medicines management hub was recognised for easing workload pressures, improving patient access to treatment and supporting the development of future pharmacy professionals.

The Pharmacy Solutions Provider award was won by Virtual Pharmacist, which launched clinical hub operations for a PCN as part of an NHS pilot designed to deliver remote pharmacist support at scale.

There is a wide range of awards open across the full breadth of primary care, meaning readers can nominate colleagues and teams working in nursing, reception, practice management, PCNs, workforce wellbeing, sustainability and clinical improvement.

The awards also continue to recognise the role of suppliers supporting general practice more broadly, including those working across digital, legal and infrastructure services.

These awards are designed to highlight the people, teams and organisations making a real difference across primary care and to give them the opportunity to share and celebrate that work.

Shortlisted entrants will be notified in early September. A gala dinner and awards ceremony – where the winners will be announced – will take place on 4 December at the Novotel London West.

Pharmacists, pharmacy teams and suppliers wishing to enter can find more details and submit nominations via the General Practice Awards website.

The deadline for entries is 31 May 2026.
