The measures are purely precautionary, and no incidents of this nature have been reported in the UK, Macopharma said yesterday (7 May).

The affected batches were delivered throughout 2017 and 2018, with the last batch delivered in November, Macopharma said.

As the product has a ‘fast turnover’, it is ‘unlikely’ that there is much remaining stock of the affected batches, Macopharma said.

However, contractors should still check their inventory, quarantine any affected stock and notify Macopharma Customer Services by phoning 01332 206022 or email [email protected].

The affected batches can be viewed here.
