Boots have announced a new range of ‘everyday’ items, with 60 essential items priced between 50p and £1.50.

The range, which includes toiletries, skincare, dental, haircare and period products, is designed to help customers during the cost-of-living crisis, said Boots.

According to a recent survey of around 2,000 UK adults, carried out weekly by insights agency Koro, money now surpasses health as the top priority for UK consumers, it added.

Jenna Whittingham-Ward, head of beauty, Boots Brands and Exclusives, said: ‘At a time when many people are facing choices between heating and eating and we’re all bracing ourselves for a winter of feeling the pinch more than ever, I am delighted that we’re able to offer a no compromise range to help customers make small everyday switches to help save money.’

‘Jesse Boot, who founded the company over 170 years ago, believed that quality products should be accessible to everyone, and I am delighted that the new everyday range delivers on those founding principles,’ she added.

This is the latest range of Boots own brand products, which make up over 9,000 lines across health, beauty and baby, including 1,000 items priced at £2 or less.

The everyday range is available online at boots.com and will be rolled out to over 1,000 Boots stores across the UK over the next few weeks.

This comes after the PSNC this week said it is escalating concerns over the process for setting price concessions to senior government officials, warning community pharmacy is subsidising the NHS medicines bill.
