A new and exclusive virtual event for practice and PCN pharmacists will be held next month – providing key updates across core areas for those working across the UK.

Practice and PCN pharmacists can now register to attend the free GP Pharmacy Virtual: Core Updates event which is being hosted in partnership with The Pharmacist online on Tuesday 24 June 2025.

The day’s programme is packed with a variety of expert-led educational sessions on all things practice pharmacy and is a vital watch for those looking to build a successful career in the sector.

Key topics across the day include:

  • Tackling polypharmacy and overprescribing in multimorbid patients
  • Practical advice on how to succeed/ensure proper support as an independent prescriber in general practice
  • How to carve out a successful career as a clinical pharmacist working in general practice and overcoming the challenges
  • The latest on obesity and weight-loss management: What GP pharmacists must know
  • Future of GP Pharmacy: Where do we need to be and how do we get there?

The event – which is open to all practice and PCN pharmacists in the UK – will be chaired by president of the Primary Care Pharmacy Association, Dr Graham Stretch and will hear from key speakers including:
