The expanded service follows a 14-store trial conducted last year, which allowed customers to order from a range of 400 items including healthcare, beauty and food and drink buys.

Customers can now choose from a larger range of 750 items that includes:

  • Cough, cold and flu symptom relief products, paracetamol, vitamins and digital thermometers
  • Lateral flow tests and face masks
  • Baby products such as nappies and baby wipes
  • Period and sexual wellbeing products including sanitary towels, condoms and pregnancy tests
  • Beauty items and gifts
  • Food, drinks and snacks

Paula Bobbett, chief digital officer at Boots, said customers can order cough, cold and flu relief products through the Deliveroo service to ‘help them with the symptoms of mild illnesses this winter’, buy childcare items, or access beauty products.

Boots estimates that products could reach customers within minutes. A full list of stores and products available for delivery via the partnership can be found on the Deliveroo website.

In 2020, LloydsPharmacy also began delivering selected products with Deliveroo, and in June this scheme was expanded to 150 stores across the UK.
